in india reservation for the weaker sections of society is in place for nearly 40yrs now.presently education, government employment, soon for employment in private sector too.debate of benefits/disadvantages rages polarising already divided society.those who favour reservation only speak of the reasons/necessities for continuance/expansion of reservation.very few of those who have availed these benefits help others.they keep the benefits only to themselves.of course, standards have come down,benchmarks/parameters have come down too.beneficiaries rarely admit that they have moved up the ladder of progress and only seek further benefits.on the other hand there are those who avail themselves of networking/contacts.now everyone wants reservation.merit?doesn't matter.reason for lack of originality in india.whiners everyone.gutless people.soft.non achievers.copycats.that is what this nation has come to.only mediocrity prevails.a random few reach high only when they leave the country or get lucky.excuse givers to why they could not do this or that.past speaking is the norm.join the ratpack.truth has no presence.admission of one's own weaknesses, laziness, inability to work hard, refusal to face the truth.these are the core of indian society today.even rich peopldo not hesitate to claim reservation benefits.so those who are really backward are denied a chance to come up,because their betters in the same caste/grouping have already booked the available seats/jobs.even powerful people claim they are backward.laughable/sad.

Hope you don't mind me saying this.
Your postings are interesting, but they're hard to read!
If you have a full stop at the end of a thought or sentence, follow it with a space and then start the next sentence with a capital letter. Like this. Or this.
It's very much stream of consciousness writing, and that style was always hard to read, so perhaps you don't wish to alter your style.
If so, ignore me, and I apologise!-

thank you again.i have yet to figure out this writing business. will take some time. s o c yes. reservation is allotting seats on the basis of caste ignoring the highest marks allotment system. in colleges - engineering, medical ,banking recruitment also in government jobs. in essence your, your intelligence or high marks do not count.what matters is to which caste you belong.government and political leaders say they wish to eradicate caste but make it the sole criteria for education and government jobs.

Seems to be a silly system to me, it must result in lower standards. Any sign of it ending?

The policy of Reservation is becoming a destructive monster day by day. I honestly agree with you. Though meant for good purpose, people have made very undesirable usage of it.
I was just listening to one of your politicians (sorry missed his name) saying the three biggest problems in India today were poverty, corruption and people not thinking they should pay their taxes. I think your post sums that up well.
